Hey guys I've been looking for the Orinoco Wavelan driver software to use my gold PCMCIA card with my PowerBook 3400c. So far I haven't been lucky. Have been looking for this everywhere with no luck. I'm running Mac OS 8.6 and I've read somewhere that the version of the driver that could be used would be 7.1, does anyone know where to find it? Links to the software on most pages are not redirecting anymore. My take is that they've been taken down for some reason. Maybe someone here has it and might like to share it with me? I agree-if you're running 8.6 on you should be able to use the native Airport drivers, although you will need to install them manually if the card was not in place during installation. I believe the original Airport card was a slightly redesigned/reconfigured Orinoco Gold. They have worked fine for me on my Wallstreets/PDQs and Lombards with my Gold. I'll try the 3400C one of these days-I'm afraid the internet would be somewhat of a miserable experience, plus I would need to upgrade to at least 8.6 so that I can use Classilla. I agree-if you're running 8.6 on you should be able to use the native Airport drivers, although you will need to install them manually if the card was not in place during installation.
